For about four weeks last year, Reagan Kuhn carried a dead pig with her every where she went.
It stayed in her apartment at night, it went to class with her during the day and occasionally at lunch, she took it to Thomson with her.
Kuhn, a junior, biology major, wanted to protect her pig, named Maddie, which she was dissecting for class.
She had good reason to be concerned. Her biology teacher, Paula Mitchell, had told the students about pig nappings that had occurred the year before when pigs had been stolen out of the lab shortly before the exam.
