Yes! We woke up to snow here. Doesn’t happen very often. Hooray for having LB home all day!

We finished painting the dining room Saturday. It’s a nice rich blue. While halfway through painting, I went to Home Depot to buy a ladder.

I’m happy to report that yes, you CAN purchase a ladder through the self checkout line. (Please picture in your mind the checkout machine demanding that the ladder be placed in a bag, on the counter, before allowing the process to continue.)

On coming out of the store, I met John and the ubiquitous Emma G. The evening light was nice, so I paused and took pictures.

Then I went home.

And spilled paint on the carpet.

Once there was a wanna-be bicycle racer. He came to his coach and proudly showed him each tricked out feature of his bicycle. Erverything was as good as money could buy.

“How can I get any more speed?” the cyclist asked.

“Move the pedals faster.” the sage coach answered.

With Laurabeth headed off to work early in the morning, and our breakfast schedule early accordingly, I’m getting started working hours before I normally would when single. It’s not even 11am here, and I’ve cleared off a day’s worth of work.

We’re iced in today. Or should be. But we are both sick, so I drove out to get oranges. And Soup.

My brother and wife had their second child. Welcome.
