X-ball is spectator’s sport. Spectators are expected to yell advice through the mesh wall to the players inside. To do well as a player, you have to be able to block this yelling out, and only listen to good advice from your designated spotter, walking between the fence and the mesh.
In the novice leagues, I saw many spotters doing much more harm than good by yelling an unending stream of rapidly changing advice to stressed out players. If you don’t have anything important to say and if nothing has changed since the last time you said it, then shut up and free up your players brain.
