Slanted Hiking
Working our way up a hill. Nova Scotia.
Diving
I sat down, twenty five feet under water, under a boat dock. Ahead of me was green water. Beside and below me was the same.
A friend had an air pump hooked up to scuba regulators, and I was learning to dive. Unlike snorkels, it didn’t feel the the equipment was out to get me. It was amazing to be able to breathe underwater.
Let me say it again: It was amazing to be able to breathe underwater! I could move about and exist in this off limits to extended visits by humans environment.
Garden

Princess Accident

‘We thought we were gone’ says cruise passenger

A massive lurch to the left on the Princess cruise ship Crown Princess sent 94 passengers to the hospital. The ship was on its side for about 30 seconds.

Princess cruise lines is one of the last lines I’d cruise on. Their crews don’t seem to care, and are under prepared. Bad things happen to the ships (This is the second “lurch”) and fires tend to burn much more of the ships than they should. If a cruise ship of a major line ever sinks, it will probably be a Princess ship.

The scheduled movie that night was “Titanic”.

The Coast Guard was first notified of the incident by the mother of a passenger aboard.
